General trade in Xinjiang has surged to become the region's largest trade method, with a year-on-year increase of 80.8% and a share of 54.9%, up 17.6 percentage points from the same period last year, driving Xinjiang's foreign trade growth by 30.2 percentage points. In terms of product categories, exports of mechanical and electrical products from Xinjiang grew by 43.8% year-on-year in the first five months, accounting for 40.2% of total exports. Xinjiang's import and export trade is growing rapidly, with significant market potential.

It is worth noting that Xinjiang, China, has trade relations with 222 countries and regions. Among them, the import and export values to markets in Africa, West Asia, Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe increased by 42.9%, 88.3%, 108.8%, and 75.5% year-on-year, respectively, accounting for a combined total of 11.1%.Trade with the BRI participating countries rose 13.8 percent year on year, accounting for 84.8 percent of the region's total foreign trade. The scale of emerging markets is now comparable to that of major markets such as ASEAN.

The robust growth in Xinjiang's foreign trade has been underpinned by strong policy support, as well as an array of measures to streamline Customs clearance and improve related services.

As Xinjiang's foreign trade rapidly develops, there is a pressing need for efficient logistics support. Ethiopian Airlines (ET) will launch a new cargo flight route on 26 June: URC(Urumqi)-ADD(Addis Ababa), second flight to other African countries and arrive in Lagos on the same day. This route will be operated using Boeing B777F/B767F cargo aircraft, establishing an efficient air freight corridor between China's Xinjiang region and Africa.

The new route will further strengthen trade ties between Xinjiang and African markets, providing Xinjiang foreign trade enterprises with a more convenient and efficient logistics channel for expanding into African markets.

Whether it is general cargo,  large-scale shipments of machinery and electrical equipment, we offer fast and direct delivery.
